Message from Vice Chancellor

It is a matter of pleasure and pride for me to say that University of Education has emerged as a reputable seat of learning in the most competitive environment and is striving to achieve the excellence it was deemed for. The University broke the stagnation of intellectual culture and made teaching and learning a challenge driven pursuit. The University has developed and launched a number of double degree programs in Teacher Education in conformity with the indigenous needs and international patterns and standards. Such programs open a wide range of job opportunities and upward academic mobility avenues for the graduates. The University also offers programs to produce graduates to assume leadership positions in educational institutions as managers, researchers, policy makers and educationists in specialized fields.

The University has created quality learning environment for its students by providing technology equipped classrooms, adequately equipped science labs, IT facilities with DSL internet, and libraries with the latest books at all of its campuses. Consistent guidance and mentoring of students by the highly qualified and dedicated faculty distinguishes UE from other academic institutions. The University of Education is well linked with the educational institutions in the public and private sector where students put their learning into practice with reflective minds and information sharing process.

The youth of today, the nation builders of tomorrow have plenty of opportunities to participate in sports and other co-curricular activities for their innovative and creative expression blended with tolerance and other humanistic values.

The Lower Mall campus of the University with its glorious history of Teacher Education now focus on preparing professionals in a range of subjects in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

The University of Education Lower Mall Campus Lahore has been offering quality education especially in the field of teacher education since its establishment as the Central Training College in 1880. As a constituent body the University of Education it has launched new programmes and expanded the scope of studies. Now research and reflective teaching is the core of courses that will result in a positive change of school culture. It will certainly contribute to the development of new generation on modem lines, keeping in view the present challenges and future needs.

The faculty and students of this campus work together in a congenial environment and strive for the progress and enhancement of the knowledge and skill. They participate in academic as well as co-academic activities to materialize the modem concept of education and reflect their potential in various forms of skills including art, craft, declamation contests, sports and games, creative writing and performance on the stage. They enjoy a comprehensive package of activities offered by the University.
